(BCN) — A gravel truck ran off a rural road in Sonoma County, shearing a utility pole and leaving the road blocked with debris and wire, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash at 1:05 p.m. closed Porter Creek Road near the Mark West Quarry at 4611 Porter Creek Road. The truck’s gravel load spilled into the creek, CHP officials said. The truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Porter Creek Road is closed on the west side at Franz Valley Road between Santa Rosa and Calistoga, according to the CHP.

Motorists are advised to take Calistoga Road from state Highway 12 as an alternate route.
