Governor John Bel Edwards is asking for prayers, after hearing word of the plane crash.
He sent out this tweet on Saturday.
The governor said: “Heartbreaking news out of Lafayette today. Please join @firstladyofla and I in praying for the families and friends of everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.”
