OAKLAND (KRON) — If you’re thinking of catching a Golden State Warriors game before the playoffs, you better be prepared.

With the possibility of the team breaking the best all-time record, prices are surging.

When it comes to the World Champion Golden State Warriors, demand for regular season tickets is not only high, but it’s off the charts.

“It’s unbelievable. I’ve been with the Warriors for 14 years. I’ve never seen anything like what we’ve seen this year,” Warriors Sr. Vice President of Business Development Brandon Schneider said. “We’re seeing tickets trade on the secondary market 80 percent above what we saw last season.”

That is if you get your tickets on Warriors.com. As of Monday night, it was the cheapest site to get tickets to Tuesday’s game at $90. That is for the worst seat in the house.

All this as the Warriors chase the 1995 Chicago Bulls’ best season record of 72-10.

Those at StubHub said the remaining home Warriors tickets may be higher than some playoff tickets this year.

“In fact, I would almost virtually guarantee you that the first round will be less expensive than these remaining homes games will be for the regular season, at least as long as the potential to break the Bulls record is in play,” ‎Global Head of Communications at StubHub Glen Lehrman said.

The team has a chance to tie the 1995 Bulls record of 72 wins next week at Oracle Arena. As for the cost to go watch the team on that night, “the average ticket price for that game has been over $400 thus far,” Schneider said.

Those with the Warriors said that while other sites like StubHub are out there, their site is the only site that guarantees a good ticket.

They have had as many as 50 fake tickets on some nights.
