Golden State Warriors defeat Pelicans in second game of playoffs

ORACLE ARENA (KRON) — The Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans pelicans in game two of the NBA playoffs, 97 to 87.

The end of the first quarter ended with Pelicans, 28 and the Warriors 17, with an unusually high number of turnovers for the Warriors.


The number 1 in the west seeded Warriors crept back by the half with back-to-back 3s by Klay Thompson, with a final 3 by Curry, ending the second quarter with a three point lead.

The battle between Pelican’s Anthony Davis and Golden State golden boy Steph Curry raged all four quarters, with Davis off to a rocky start in the first half.

At the end of the third quarter, it was a tie game at 71 points.

Golden State played a dazzling fourth quarter gaining a substantial lead in the final 3 minutes.
