OAKLAND (AP) – Golden State goes after an NBA record tonight, just a day after its jaw-dropping loss to the last-place Lakers.
The Warriors host Orlando, looking to break the NBA mark for consecutive regular-season home wins. They’ve won 44 in a row, tying the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, whose record of 72 regular-season wins the Warriors are also chasing. League-leading Golden State is 55-6.
San Antonio is now just 2 1/2 games back of the Warriors for the best record in the league. The Southwest Division-leading Spurs take an eight-game winning streak into their game at Indiana.
