PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP/KRON) – If you’re hitting the roads this Thanksgiving weekend, it won’t be cheap.
According to AAA, Thanksgiving gas prices are the highest they have been in three years.
AAA projects that nearly 51 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving, a 3.3 percent increase over 2016.
AAA says the 2017 holiday weekend will see the highest Thanksgiving travel volume since 2005.
In Oakland, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is $3.21. That’s 11 cents lower than in San Francisco.
