GAITHERSBURG, Maryland (WISH) — If it feels like you’ve been paying more at the pump this month, it’s because you are.
Gas prices are nearing their highest levels in four years.
According to the Maryland-based Oil Price Information Service, average prices for unleaded have hiked up about six cents a gallon in the in the past month, topping $2.90 a gallon.
If they go up another eight cents, fuel prices will be the highest since 2014.
In central Indiana, the average price is around $2.95 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
Right now in the Bay Area, gas prices in San Jose are at $3.78 a gallon.
In the East Bay, it’s $3.79 a gallon in Oakland.
And in San Francisco, a gallon of gas is $3.87.
