SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Crews capped a gas leak Friday morning after a car struck a gas meter in San Francisco’s Sunset District.

Gas leak was caused by a car that stuck a gas meter around 9:30 a.m. at 2131 19th Avenue between Quintara and Rivera Streets, according to PG&E spokeswoman Stephanie Dell.

Two office complexes were evacuated as precaution but have now been lifted.

PG&E and fire officials capped the leak around 10 a.m.

The area had been temporarily closed but has since been cleared.

There are no injuries reported, according to San Francisco fire officials.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
