The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for parts of the Bay Area in effect until 9 a.m.
The advisory is in effect for the San Francisco Bay shoreline and the Santa Clara Valley, including San Jose.
Temperatures this morning in these areas are expected to be in the mid-30s and could drop into the upper 20s in the southern Santa Clara Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
The cold weather could do damage to sensitive vegetation.
A Frost Advisory is issued when temperatures are expected to be between 32 and 35 degrees for at least two consecutive hours.
