FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — The father of an unarmed 19-year-old man shot and killed by police in a Central California city has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
KFSN-TV in Fresno reported Thursday (http://abc30.tv/2e3Dky8 ) that Darren Noble, father of Dylan Noble, claims the Fresno Police Department has a history of using deadly force without fear of disciplinary action.
Officers in a June traffic stop shot Dylan Noble after he refused repeated commands to show his hands.
Police Chief Jerry Dyer has made the officers’ body camera video public. They show Noble hiding one hand behind his back and shouting that he hated his life.
They later learned he held a plastic object, but was unarmed.
Noble’s mother has already sued the city.
A Fresno police spokesman declined a request to comment.
