TRUCKEE (KRON) — Donner Pass is covered with snow Wednesday morning as it falls across the Sierra.
Chain controls are now required on both directions of I-80 from Kingvale to Donner Lake Road, according to the California Highway Patrol in Truckee.
Skiers and snowboarders can start hitting the slopes at Heavenly, Northstar and Squaw Valley on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Chain Control:
I-80 eastbound is R2 from Kingvale to Donner Lake Rd.
Trucks are at minimum.
