FREMONT (KRON) — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a pair of suspects who burglarized several businesses in Fremont.
Surveillance footage helped link two suspects to four instances of commercial burglary that occurred early Tuesday morning, starting around 2:00 a.m., according to police.
On Tuesday at 1:58 a.m., the suspects broke a window and entered into a restaurant in the 1500 block of Washington Boulevard. The suspects took a change machine and fled the scene.
On the same block, a nail salon was broken into in the same manner, police said. The suspects conducted a search leaving mess, but the break-in resulted in no reported losses.
Once again, on the same block, the suspects attempted to break into a dry cleaning business through the window but were unsuccessful.
At 2:13 a.m., officers received reports of another burglary at a gas station in the 43600 block of South Grimmer Boulevard, according to police.
The suspects shattered a glass door and entered, fleeing the scene with around $2,500 in cigarettes.
The suspected duo of all the stated cases was driving a vehicle described by police as a white 1990s Lexus four-door sedan with beige trim.
Police describe one suspect as a white man in his 30s with a heavy build, reportedly wearing a black cap with white writing, a black T-shirt, black gloves, beige pants and a red scarf covering his face.
Police describe the other suspect as a man with a slim to average build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black gloves, and a black face mask.
