FREMONT (KRON)—Police are investigating an attempted chain snatch robbery in Fremont.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Camden Ave. near Eggers Drive.
A male suspect approached a 47-year-old woman and tried to steal her necklace.
The suspect got into a car and left.
Police describe the suspect as a black man that is 25 to 30 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall.
He is slightly overweight and has a large tattoo on his neck.
The suspect was wearing a tall green cap, a orange T-shirt and dark shorts.
