FREMONT (KRON) — Police in Fremont are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon incident that occurred on Wednesday in Fremont.

Officers responded at 4:10 p.m. to a business in the 37100 block of Post Street on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon incident. Officers learned the suspected man had been previously told not to come into the store due to suspected thefts.

The man returned to the store on Wednesday and was told to leave the store by management. As the man was leaving, the manager tried to take a photo of the man’s vehicle.

The man then brandished a knife and tried to back his car into the manager and two other employees, according to police.

The man then fled the area.

Police were not able to locate the man.
