FREMONT (KRON) — Animal service officials are trying to reunite a lost baby goat with its mother in Fremont.

Officers picked up the animal at John Gomes Elementary School at around 10:26 a.m. in Fremont Thursday morning and took it to an animal shelter, located at 1950 Stevenson Blvd.

The goat appears to be well cared for and is not in any danger. Police said animal services officials are not looking for a temporary home for the goat.

Anyone with information that will help reunite the little goat with its mom and owner should call the Tri-City Animal Shelter.
