SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Crews are giving free tours of the USS San Diego that is docked in San Francisco for Fleet Week.
KRON4’s Will Tran got an inside look at the massive ship Tuesday morning before it was opened up to the public.
The USS San Diego sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge Monday morning and is now docked at Pier 30/32.
“We want people to get to meet our Sailors and Marines. They’re a great bunch of young Americans,” Captain Carl Meuser said.

Captain Meuser said he not only wants people to get an idea of what the ship looks like but also what the crew does.
“Come on board. We’ll have Sailors and Marines around to tell you about what they do,” Meuser said.
Anyone can take a free tour of the ship on Tuesday starting at 10 a.m.
KRON4 will broadcast the Blue Angels live on Saturday October 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
