SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco’s AT&T Park is hosting a free “Discovery Day” for kids and teens to unleash their inner scientist.

More than 35,000 kids and teens will take the field at the sixth annual Bay Area Science Festival Discovery Day event that will feature more than 150 exhibits, games, experiments and shows on every level of the ballpark, all aimed to encourage young people to consider careers in science, engineering and technology.

Participants will have a chance to race robots, undergo astronaut training, see a self-driving “Back to the Future” DeLorean and learn about medical research.

The event is produced by the Science and Health Education Partnership at the University of California at San Francisco and held in partnership with other Bay Area universities, museums, companies, non-profits and government agencies.

The event is on Saturday, November 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and only one of the 50 such events taking place around the Bay Area between October 27 and November 5. For more information visit bayareascience.org
