Severe weather conditions have forced organizers to cancel Sunday night’s free concert in San Jose for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

The AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! is a three-day concert series at Discovery Meadow Park.

The first concert was held on Friday and went on as planned, as did Saturday’s event.

Just before gates were set to open at 6 p.m. on Sunday, officials made the decision to cancel the concert because of high winds and standing water at the site.

The Executive Director of College Football Playoff, Bill Hancock said, “Of course, safety is the primary consideration for the College Football Playoff (CFP) and its sponsors, and the cancellation of tonight’s show is consistent with that priority.”

The Regrettes, Elle Goulding and OneRepublic were slated to perform.
