Two people were arrested, and one was cited in Milpitas Thursday in connection with alleged fraud and narcotics possession, according to police.
Shortly after noon, police spotted a man working on a brown 1995 Ford Tauras in the parking lot of a Heritage Inn located at 378 Calaveras Blvd.
After speaking with the man, identified as Stephen Zensius, 47, of Fremont, it was discovered that he was on probation from Alameda County and allegedly in possession of a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, according to police.
Officers conducted an investigation and searched the hotel room associated with Zensius.
Police said officers found two people in the room, 32-year-old Joseph Luprete and 18-year-old Jennie Gates, as well as multiple fictitious identification cards and suspected stolen credit cards, a credit card re-encoder device and suspected methamphetamine.
Luprete was found to be on probation from Santa Clara County and was arrested and booked on suspicion of fraud and violation of his probation.
Gates was arrested and booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and fraud related charges.
Zensius was cited and released for being in possession of a controlled substance.
