FRAUD ALERT: Warriors say to watch out for fake NBA Finals tickets

The Golden State Warriors have issued a fraud alert for NBA Finals tickets.

The team said last year during The Finals, they saw more fake tickets than any other playoff series in the past. And because of that, disappointed fans were rejected entry to the game.

It’s a bucket list item for a lot of people–a dream to attend the NBA Finals.

The Warriors don’t want to turn anyone away who has dropped a ton of money, so the team wants people to know that every regular season game there are fans rejected entry for fake tickets.

Fraudulent tickets increased by 70 percent per game during last year’s NBA Finals.

Over 800 fans were denied access to Oracle Arena in this year’s regular season because of the fake tickets bought from non-verified, third-party vendors. Last regular season, over 1,200 fans were denied access.

The Warriors are advising fans to buy tickets on Warriors.com or by calling 1-888-GSW-HOOP. These are 100 percent guaranteed to work.

On StubHub and Warriors.com on Wednesday, here’s what tickets are going for: Game 1 nosebleeds on Thursday are going for just under $400 and $500 for Game 2 on Sunday.

For good seats to both Games 1 and 2 at Oracle, those are going for between $800 and $1,300.
