DUBLIN (KRON) — A 2-alarm fire destroyed four homes still under construction in Dublin Monday night.

After getting several calls about the houses on fire, crews responded to the construction site at Vinton Avenue and Kinsley Street shortly after 9 p.m.

When crews arrived, they saw that the fire was actually on Sunset View Drive.

Four houses that were in the framing stage of construction were fully involved in flames.

There are other houses in the complex that are already built, so fire crews called a second-alarm to make sure the fire didn’t spread to those houses.

Some embers did blow over to a nearby hill, sparking several spot fires.

Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish those.

It took about 45 minutes before firefighters were able to get the house fires under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
