A former Sonoma Valley Boys & Girls club athletic director has been sentenced to 150 years to life for multiple counts of child molestation, according to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office.
On Wednesday, 70-year-old Paul Dwayne Kilgore of Sonoma was sentenced for charges which included six counts of child molestation against multiple victims who were under the age of 14.
Kilgore was convicted by a jury on March 20, 2018 after a six-day jury trial.
He was arrested in September 2016 at his home where he lived with his sister and father.
According to officials, a witness observed Kilgore in a Healdsburg health club hot tub back in 2016.
According to the witness, he overheard Kilgore talking to two young boys about circumcision and reported his observations to the front desk.
Law enforcement was contacted and an investigation led to an 11-year-old in Parkpoint telling authorities that Kilgore had touched his penis on multiple occasions, with the first incident happening when he was 6-years-old.
The 11-year-old said the crimes occurred in the locker rooms at local pools and in Kilgore’s bedroom.
Another victim, who was 11-years-old when the crimes began, told authorities Kilgore touched his penis on multiple occasions, while in the locker room at local swimming pools and in Kilgore’s bedroom.
A third victim, who authorities say is now 16-years-old, described four crimes that happened in Kilgore’s bedroom on two separate occasions, all when the victim was 13-years-old.
Officials say in each of the crimes, the victim’s penis was touched by Kilgore.
Kilgore worked for the Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club for a decade before voluntarily resigning in 2013.
