A Flood Advisory has been issued for south Central Sonoma County on Friday night until 5 a.m. Saturday morning, the National Weather Service said.

The warning was issued at around 4 p.m. Heavy rain is causing minor flooding in the area.

The warning had been issued until 10 p.m. Friday but got extended into Saturday morning late Friday night.

Some areas will experience flooding, including in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Cotati, South Santa Rosa, Forestville, and Graton.

The gauge at Willow Brook Creek near Penngrove reported 62 feet at 4 p.m. That means downstream areas of Willow Brook at Old Redwood Highway Bridge and Willow Brook at Stony Point Road will likely see flooding in 2 to 4 hours.

This is all due to a Pineapple Express slamming the Bay Area.
