A Flash Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday for areas that were impacted by the Camp Fire.
The watch will be in effect until 9 p.m.
The Butte County Sheriff said in a tweet, ‘if Flash Flooding occurs, this can quickly become a dangerous and life-threatening situation.’
Officials advise those near a waterway to be prepared to evacuate immediately.
‘Be prepared, monitor weather forecasts and do not wait for a Flash Flood warning in order to take steps to protect life and property as these hazards may develop before a warning can be issued. There may be very little time to react once the storm and rain start.’
