Firefighters contain four-alarm fire in Oakland

UPDATE 8:04 AM: Crews were able to bring the fire under control shortly after 6:30 a.m. They will maintain a fire watch throughout the day. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

About 12 businesses buildings were affected, but not all of the businesses were occupied. Every store front was damaged and will need to be rebuilt completely.


OAKLAND (KRON) — Firefighters in Oakland are on the scene of a four-alarm fire Saturday morning. The fire started at 1 a.m. on Saturday and crews are still working to put the fire out.

Several businesses are damaged at 73rd Avenue and MacArthur Avenue.

No injuries have been reported and no one has been displaced.
