DALY CITY (KRON)—A fire damaged a Panda Express restaurant in Daly City Monday morning, according to the North County Fire Authority.

The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. at the restaurant inside the Westlake Shopping Center. Fire crew arrived and found smoke and flames coming from the roof and the back of the restaurant.

It was contained to that part of the building and firefighters stayed at the scene for more than an hour to make sure it was extinguished, fire officials said.

Employees and other people inside the building and evacuated it before firefighters arrived. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
