SAN JOSE (KRON) — Firefighters have contained a brush fire in San Jose that may have been sparked by a firework Thursday morning, according to fire officials.
Fire crews received reports of the fire at around 2:30 a.m. of a grass fire on Sierra Road near Piedmont Road.
The fire burned 10 acres and has been fully contained.
Fire officials believe fireworks may have sparked the fire. A firefighter told KRON4’s Will Tran that they found a Roman candle in the parking lot.
Firefighters are going to remain on scene all morning to watch for hot spots.
