SANTA CLARA (KRON) — An altercation broke out among inmates at the Santa Clara County Main Jail Complex, according to officials.
The fight happened around 8:30 a.m. in the second floor of the south jail complex located at 150 West Hedding Street, jail officials said.
The altercation was quickly broken up by guards.
Jail officials could not say if there were any injuries due to the fight.
It is also unknown how many inmates were involved in the fight.
The inmates involved are in a dormitory-style jail, which is not enforced by maximum security.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
