SANTA CLARA (BCN) — A one-alarm house fire displaced a family of six in Santa Clara early Monday morning, fire officials said.
Crews responded to a report of a possible structure fire in the 2200 block of Lenox Place near Cheeney Street around 4:30 a.m., fire officials said.
Arriving firefighters found smoke coming out of the eaves of the home and learned three of the six family members were still inside, fire officials said.
Crews entered the home and found the three family members safe in the garage where they went to escape the smoke, according to fire officials.
The blaze was contained to the front of the home and the attic, fire officials said.
Crews were able to extinguish the flames about 15 minutes later, according to fire officials.
No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the family displaced by the blaze, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
