SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The fake anti-tech signs fooling tourists in San Francisco have come down as fast as they went up.
We first brought you this story on KRON at 8 p.m. Monday night — and online before that. The signs were spotted Monday at Alamo Square.
The official looking signage read “No tech-zone. No cell phones, tablets, laptops or smart devices permitted. Violators subject to $300 fine.”
No one knows who put up the phony signs, but we know who took them down.
Since no other agency claimed responsibility, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency volunteered to remove them.
