OAKLAND (KRON) — CVS on Mountain Boulevard is in ruins after a car smashed into it’s front windows in a failed plot to steal the ATM inside.
Scott Rates spoke with neighbors who fear this theft is the sign of a greater issue. Residents have noticed more broken glass in the neighborhood and a rise in crime. They’re hoping enough police presence will prevent future crimes like this one.
No word on whether or not surveillance video has been released of the smash and failed-grab, but CVS stores are monitored by video 24/7.
No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery.
