PINOLE (KRON) — Pinole police were investigating an explosive device near a school on Tuesday night, police said.
But at around 9 p.m., police deemed the device safe.
All roads have reopened and the incident has been cleared.
People were being asked to avoid downtown Pinole.
San Pablo Avenue and Oak Ridge Road to Pinole Valley Road had been shut down.
