BRUSSELS, Belgium (KRON) — Former basketball star Dikembe Mutombo was at an airport Belgium when terrorists set off a series of deadly explosions Tuesday which killed at least 13 people.

“God is good. I am in Brussels Airport with this craziness. I am fine,” he said in a photo caption showing a crowded tarmac.

Three explosions ripped through the Belgian capital of Brussels killing at least 30 people and wounding several dozen others, according to Belgian media. Two bombs exploded at the Brussels airport, and about an hour later, another bomb exploded on a rush-hour subway train near the European Union headquarters.

A couple of hours after his first Facebook post, the 7-foot-2-inch Hall of Famer posted a selfie thanking his fans for their concern.

“Thank you everyone. I am safe here. God is good,” he wrote.

The eight-time All-Star was traveling from Congo’s capital, Kinshasa, where he was involved in a conference on prevention and treatment of cervical cancer screenings for women, according to his Dikembe Mutombo Foundation’s Facebook page.
