SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An elderly woman was pushed to the ground and robbed of her purse on Monday night while getting off a Muni bus in San Francisco’s Bayview District, police said.

The robbery happened at about 9 p.m. on Third Street and Paul Avenue, according to police.

As the 81-year-old victim was getting off the bus, the suspect pushed her from behind, causing her to fall to the ground, according to police.

The suspect then took the woman’s purse and fled. He remains at large this morning and no detailed description of him was immediately available.

The woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
