SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — An elderly South San Francisco woman found a burglar rummaging through her home on Tuesday night, police said today.

The woman, who lives in the 2300 block of Bourbon Court, heard a noise at about 8:40 p.m. and when she investigated she found the man, according to police.

When he saw her, the burglar ran away, police said. Officers responded and searched for the man but didn’t find him.

He is described as standing 5 feet 2 inches or 5 feet 3 inches tall and was wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket, black pants and black and white sneakers at the time.

He may have fled in a dark older-model sedan, but police were unable to confirm that.
