SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An elderly man has died after being hit by a van in San Francisco’s Richmond District Wednesday morning.
87-year-old Alfred Yee was hit by a van while walking in a crosswalk on Geary Boulevard at 26th Avenue.
Yee, a San Francisco resident, was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Crash investigators think that Yee was walking north across Geary Boulevard when he was hit by the van, which was making a left turn from 26th Street.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and has been cooperating with police.
He was not cited at the scene, but the collision remains under investigation.
