An East Bay teacher was arrested on Wednesday for solicitation and being in possession of child pornography, according to the El Cerrito Police Department.
Authorities say 41-year-old Christopher Silva is an English teacher at El Cerrito High School.
Silva was arrested at his home and booked into the Martinez Detention Center.
Investigators say the West Contra Costa Unified School District is aware of his arrest and is cooperating with the investigation.
