EAST PALO ALTO (KRON)—-Police have arrested one suspect for allegedly killing a 2-year-old girl in East Palo Alto.
It happened on November 27 when officers responded to reports of a toddler having trouble breathing on East O’Keefe Street around 1 p.m.
Emergency crews took the girl to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The investigation was treated as a suspicious death because of lack of medical history and injury to the victim.
An autopsy was conducted on the two-year-old which revealed evidence of foul play.
Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and identified the suspect as the 24-year-old boyfriend of the victim’s mother.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on murder charges.
