SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Officers arrested a man on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol Monday night in South San Francisco after he allegedly struck several parked cars, causing his vehicle to flip over and land on its side.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 500 block of Miller Avenue, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle on its side and determined it had struck multiple parked cars before flipping over, police said.

Officers identified the driver as Elfego Garcia, 32, of South San Francisco. Garcia was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

After investigating, officers determined Garcia was driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Garcia was also driving without a valid license, police said.

Officers arrested Garcia on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to police.
