MENLO PARK (KRON) — A downed tree is was blocking a lane of traffic and had caused a gas leak in Menlo Park early Monday morning, according to police.
The gas leak is now fixed and the shelter in place has been lifted.
The tree was blocking a lane in the 500 block of Laurel Street, Menlo Park Police said.
Residents in the 500 block Laurel Street and the 500 block of Hopkins Street were advised to shelter in place.
Police were also asking people to avoid the area of Laurel Street between Ravenswood Avenue and Burgess Drive.
PG&E and the Menlo Park Fire Department responded to the scene.
