VALLEJO (KRON) — Two men have been arrested after a call for service led to a suspected grow operation.
Tuesday, deputies with the Solano County Sheriff’s Officer were called to the 500 block of Benicia Rd in Vallejo when a woman called, saying she was a victim of domestic violence.
She left the house before deputies arrived, but while the deputies were at the house, they found several marijuana plants growing inside the house.
Two men living there were detained while members of the sheriff’s methamphetamine enforcement team looked over the scene.
Early Thursday morning, detectives served a warrant, finding 95 marijuana plants, a butana honey oil conversion lab, two ounces of honey oil and three hand guns.
Solano County Sheriff’s spokeperson Darryl Snedeker estimates the street value of the plants alone to be $285,000.
Mitchell Kvaal, 23, and Mario Vecchio, both of Vallejo, were
arrested for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale,
manufacturing honey oil, and being armed while committing a drug offense.
Deputies have also followed up on the original domestic violence call.
They learned the female called had gone to her mother’s house after calling the sheriff’s office.
Deputies contacted her and took a report on the domestic violence incident.
