LONG BEACH, WASH. (KOIN) – A disabled dog’s wheelchair was stolen from a Long Beach home on N. Washington Ave Monday night.

Charley’s owner, Rod, says he left the wheelchair out on the porch overnight in the morning the chair and the ramp Charley uses were gone.

Charley lost the use of his legs several years ago and needs the chair to get around.

“I don’t know what’s happening with the world. People just seem to be taking more and more from each other,” said Leoni Wolfe.

“He can’t walk now, he can’t run for his ball, he can’t get up, he can’t stand up, and he’s sad about it,” Rod Beauregard said.

The wheelchair is worth around $400.

A family friend created a GoFundMe account to raise money to replace the chair. The goal of $585 was surpassed in about 4 hours.
