CUPERTINO (KRON) — Detectives are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Cupertino on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:00 p.m., the suspect went inside a Wells Fargo bank located at 23000 Homestead Road near the Foothill Plaza Shopping Center, according to Santa Clara County sheriff’s Sgt. James Jensen.

The male suspect handed a demanded note to a bank teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect.

The bank teller claimed the suspect was armed, but no one in the bank saw a weapon, according to Jensen.

Investigators believe the suspect fled the scene on foot but are unsure of which direction he was last seen heading.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, standing about 6 feet tall with a medium to heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black coat, carrying a black bag and wearing eyeglasses.
