BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida woman faces battery charges after deputies say she shot at two house guests when they wouldn’t leave her home. The woman wound up accidentally shooting her boyfriend in the leg.
Alana Annette Savell, age 32, was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm.
Deputies say two people went to Savell’s home at about 1 a.m. on Monday. The victims told deputies that a woman who lived there got a 22 caliber handgun and began firing rounds at the man and woman.
The woman said she felt herself get hit in the legs and ran away from the home and got into a car.
Deputies went to Savell’s home. Savell told deputies that the woman and man stopped by her home and began drinking and became too loud. Savell told deputies she did not want them in her house and she began shooting at their feet.
Savell’s boyfriend told detectives that he told his girlfriend that once someone is told to leave their property three times, she is to go get the fun and shoot it at the ground. If that does not work, she is to shoot people in the leg.
A bullet struck Savell’s boyfriend in the leg during the incident.
