The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide on John Court in Castro Valley on Thursday evening.

The murder happened at around 5:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of John Court.

A man died in the homicide.

Police have set up a perimeter around the crime scene. A car is believed to be part of the crime scene.

Witnesses say they saw a group of young men when shots were fired.

No other information has been made available by police.
