LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) – Sheriff’s officials say the body of a delivery man shot to death was found by his wife inside his truck in northern Los Angeles County.

Deputy Mike Barraza says the victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to his chest, was pronounced dead at the scene near Lancaster Tuesday night.

The man’s wife told investigators he had been delivering corn around the Antelope Valley area. When he was late coming home, she went looking for him and found him shot in his truck.

Detectives have not released a possible motive or suspect description.

The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.
