SANTA ROSA (KRON) — The death toll in the North Bay wildfires has risen to 17.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says that 11 people have died in Sonoma County.

Cal Fire said that two people have been killed in the Atlas Fire in Napa County.

One person was killed and two people were seriously hurt in a fire in Mendicino County.

Mendocino County Sheriff Thomas Allman announced Tuesday that two more victims died in Redwood Valley.

The fire has now spread over 70,000 acres.

There are now 240 people reported missing across the North Bay. Fifty-seven of the 240 missing people have been found.

Officials expect the death toll to rise 14 fast-moving wildfires destroyed more than 2,000 homes, department stores, hotels and other commercial structures in Northern California.

At least 100 people have been injured in wildfires burning in Northern California.

St. Joseph Health said 100 patients have been treated, most for smoke inhalation, at two of its hospitals, Santa Rosa Memorial in Santa Rosa and Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa.

Those hospitals took on the majority of patients with other hospitals in the area evacuated because of the fires.

Two of the injured are critical. One has been transferred to a burn center with significant burns. Fifteen of the injuries are described as moderate and the rest are minor.

The number of injured is expected to climb as information comes in for all the other areas affected by the firestorm consuming the state.

Twenty employees of the sheriff’s department have lost their homes.

No looters have been arrested.

1 – Mountain Home Ranch Road, Santa Rosa (Calistoga, County line area)

1 – Hemlock St, Santa Rosa

2 – Sundown Trail, Santa Rosa
