SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A huge sea lion carcass has washed ashore in San Francisco Friday, the latest dead marine mammal to be discovered in the Bay Area.
It was found yesterday along Baker Beach. People there said no one has been out to examine the carcass or to try to remove it.
It is estimated to be between 500 and 600 pounds, and as you can imagine, it smells pretty bad.
In fact, beachgoers said they had to stay nearly 100 yards away to get away from the stench.
No word on if, or when, the sea lion will be removed or what killed it.
