DANVILLE (KRON) — Danville police officers are looking for the people who vandalized the area around the All Wars Memorial.
Police were called on Monday when extensive graffiti was found on pavement, stone paths and granite benches near the memorial. They think it might have happened late Sunday evening.
The All Wars Memorial is located in Oak Hill Park. It is a memorial dedicated to everybody who served in American wars.
Vandals used black and red spray paint to deface the areas around the memorial.
The town, along with private donors, have issued a $6,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.
“The All Wars Memorial is dedicated to honoring the men and women who served our country,” said Police Chief Steve Simpkins. “We hope that this reward will help lead our investigators find out who committed this disgraceful crime.”
