CUPERTINO (BCN) — A man suffered minor injuries when his mentally ill son slashed him with a knife in Cupertino Wednesday morning, a Santa Clara County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Deputies responded around 9:50 a.m. to a report of a family disturbance in the 10000 block of San Felipe Road, less than half a mile west of South Foothill Boulevard, according to sheriff’s Sgt. James Jensen.
A man slashed his father with a knife that was later seized by deputies, Jensen said.
The father was treated for a “very minor wound” at the scene, Jensen said.
The son was cooperative with investigators and was detained, according to Jensen.
No other details about the case were immediately available.
